Title: IEEE Standard for local and metropolitan area networks - Virtual Bridged Local Area Networks. IEEE standard for Local and metropolitan area networks-Virtual Bridged Local Area Networks. This standard defines an architecture for Virtual Bridged IEEE 802 LANs, the services provided in Virtual Bridged LANs, and the protocols and algorithms involved in the provision of those services.

Approved as standard.

The reference describes Virtual Bridged LANs. It would be inappropriate to replicate the text of this reference in the Recommendation, since it is under the change control of the IETF.
